Innocents’ Day is celebrated by Christians on 28 December. Apart from its biblical significance in relation to the events happened at the time of the birth of Jesus Christ, it is a day for pranks amongst children, a day in which social order and conventions are broken by means of practical jokes.
The practical joker must not only deceive but also unmask and reveal the truth to his victims. The joker will often use a formula such as: “Inuzente, txakurrak buztana tente!” or “Inuzente potente, txasko, txasko, buruaren erdian sartu duets” to express satisfaction for the success of the harmless prank.
