During the weekends previous to Lent, the Maskarada party takes over the village both morning and afternoon. To start with, a fight is simulated between the outsiders and the group of local dancers. The aim is for the outsiders to overcome the barricades placed on the way.

Once in the village, Xorrotxak, who belong to the Beltzak group, sing numerous lines to greet the people. In the meantime wine, biscuits and the like are offered to the members of the masquerade.
